Confirmation

Confirmation is always exciting at Brooklyn. Confirmation students getting to know other BUMY is always a goal of the BUMY Confirmation program. Orientation each year is held in early September.

Philosophy*: Colossians 1:28,29

"So naturally we proclaim Christ . . . "

This statement from the Apostle Paul summarizes what Brooklyn's Youth Ministry intends to do. We wish to let every young person and his/her family hear of the love of God through Christ Jesus in an honest, challenging and winsome way.

"We teach everyone we can . . . "

We believe Jesus' love and care is for all creation. Therefore, Brooklyn's scope of ministry is not limited to a particular group of young people; rather it is open to any young person seeking to know God better.

"We teach all we know . . . "

The most effective method for reaching young people with the love of God is through personal relationships - kids experiencing God's love through the concern and love of a peer or adult. All will be equipped and utilized to model God's love and concern.

"Bring every person up to their full maturity in Christ Jesus . . . "

This is the ultimate goal for each person that Brooklyn's Youth ministry touches. Our desire is that every person would have the opportunity to fully develop their discipleship to Christ and their involvement in the church.
